Top 5 Spring Lip Colours

SAM_1673

I got this idea from the gorgeous Joanna at JoannaLoves who did a run down of her favourite bright spring lip colours. I thought it was a really great idea, so I have put together my top 5! I will discuss them from the redder end of the scale to the pinker end.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Stellar – This is a really deeply pigmented orangey red lip lacquer. I think it is the perfect colour for spring, bridging the gap between wintery deep reds and orangey summer colours. It is a hybrid between a lip gloss and lipstick so it also has a glorious shine to it.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Shade No 2 – Transfer for this lipstick isn’t great but it is a beautifully wearable cherry colour which I think would suit almost any skin tone.

MUA Lipstick Shade 16 Nectar – This gorgeous orangey peach shade would be perfect for spring time. It it’s quite an intense vibrant colour at first, but you can blend it out really easily with a clean finger or brush to get a much more subtle look if you prefer. It isn’t overly forgiving on chapped lips so get a good lip balm.

No 7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in Waterlily – This is a beautiful rich pink shade with a tiny hint of shimmer to it. It is super wearable and really moisturising on the lips. The colour stays put for a really long time although the colour does transfer a bit.

YSL Rouge Volupte in Shade No 7 Lingerie Pink – At the very bottom end of the spectrum is this super cute baby pink lipstick from YSL. It is quirky, fun and perfect for daytime wear. YSL lipsticks are my all time favourite lipsticks so far, they are sheer perfection.

  1. Great spring lip color picks!! I love Kate Moss No 2, Waterlily and Nectar. I am looking for a nice peachy color to compliment my ski complexion. Your pictures are also so clear! Love it! You’ve gained a new follower from New York!!
